OPTOELECTRONICS
SCOUT
Frequency Counter/Recorder
Bug Detector/Reaction Tuner
The Optoelectronics Scout Frequency Recorder is ideal for searching out and recording unknown frequencies. If you're serious about frequency finding look no further than the Scout. Armed with 400 memories the Scout is designed for portable operation. Take it anywhere, NASCAR Races, sporting events, the zoo, airports and more. The Scout captures and displays the strongest frequency in the nearfield that is 15dB above the background RF levels. This also makes the Scout a perfect Bug Detector, with the signal strength bargraph to lead you to the RF transmitter.  The memory allows the unit to be left to monitor a location for RF transmissions user free, which can be reviewed at a later time.  With a beeper and vibrator alert you will never miss what the Scout has captured. The Reaction Tune feature of the Scout, patented by Optoelectronics, allows the Scout to instantly tune a compatible receiver to the frequency it captures.
This product is BRAND NEW and is being sold FACTORY DIRECT from the Manufacturer, OPTOELECTRONICS in this auction.  This product has a 1 year Parts/Labor Warranty and includes built in Nicad Batteries, Power Supply, Owner's Manual and Original Box.  All Antennas and Accessories are SOLD SEPARATELY.  This is NOT a Refurbished unit, it is FIRST QUALITY BRAND NEW FACTORY DIRECT PRODUCT.  The unit purchased in this auction is a FINAL SALE and not refundable or returnable.

In 1995, Optoelectronics developed and patented what will go down as one of the great contibutions to the scanning hobby, Reaction Tune.
When connected to a receiver for Reaction Tune, the Scout can capture a frequency and then tune the receiver to that frequency simultaneously. No more manual tuning of a receiver, no more wondering what you missed, let the Scout do it for you. The Scout can Reaction Tune the ICOM R7000, R7100, R8500, R9000, R10, R20, AOR AR8000, AR8200 Optoelectronics R11, Optoelectronics OptoCom, Radio Shack Pro 2005/6 with the OptoScan456Lite installed, and the Radio Shack Pro 2035/42 with the OptoScan535 installed.

OPTIONAL ACCESSORIES
Our line of antennas include narrow band antennas for specific frequency ranges as well as broad band antennas that cover a wide frequency range.
The importance of using a good antenna for your Optoelectronics products should not be underestimated. Our wide band antennas like the DB32 and BB85 are useful for picking up a wide variety of signals. However, the narrow band antennas will usually do a better job in their respective frequency range than will a wide band antenna. It is a good idea to experiment with different antennas to achieve different results
